Okay. Actually going to GSD now. In the meanwhile, if anyone has any hot tips for getting the algae off my pipe organ, I'm all ears. It's being strangled to death.

View attachment 2392532
Mine I've done like 6 times now. Last time I tweezed off what I could then did a peroxide dip using 3% hydrogen peroxide and tank water. I did a strong mix probably 60/40 water to peroxide and left it in there for 15 minutes. So far no more algae growing out of that piece.

Put it in a cup and try to keep the tips of the coral out of the mixture. Mine I just gambled and tossed it in submerged last time. It was pretty ticked off for a few days but it's doing better now. Here it is today:

I can put water in it and turn the pumps on... that count? The running tank next to it isn't a big mess either. Not as clean as the new tank but it's pretty organized.

Ok let you off. Mine looks nothing as organised as yours. Maybe one day when I upgrade to a bigger tank.

Nothing wrong with yours either... I've seen way worse than that!

Full disclosure: I'm in IT and spend a lot of time organizing wiring in server rooms. Labelling ports and cables etc... So a tangled mess of wires is not going to happen here, my OCD simply wouldn't allow it.

IT here too and IT cabinets can be a nightmare but there is loads more space there most of the case than under my tank.

There is never enough room under the tank. I could have an 8 foot tank and still want more room under there.

So how is the work going? We have started a social club here while waiting the news from you @kittenbritches
Let's see...
  • The pharmacy is out of my medication and I couldn't make myself drive to the next city to get it filled there, so we'll see what happens next
  • I bought more Rice Krispy Treats, ice cream, donuts, Coke Zero, and pizza (I must have been hungry)
  • Made the pizza, ate the ice cream
  • Spent some time with the boyo showing each other our favorite TikToks
  • And that brings us to now
I guess it's still early here, right? 2:40? Time to get to it.

I got all frags inspected, a couple more aiptasias chopped and/or super glued, and a bunch of sneaky vermetid snails busted off of several corals. That poor pipe organ had the most, and I had to perform microsurgery with my tweezers to pull as much algae off as I could. It has a lot of new growth, despite the algae, so that's encouraging.

If you did me the favor of checking out the linked post above, you'll see I have some sort of $h1t all over my rocks in the tank as well as the live rock in the Brute. So...I didn't mount a single frag.

I did, however, get all of the SPS into a 5-gallon tank. I'll likely keep a piece or two in the RSR250, but the rest will go into my bedroom tank once I get it set up.

I'll leave you with my twerking shrimp... :D

Ignore the Aiptasia next to it on the rack... there's Berghia Nudibranch waiting in the next tank for that job once they've acclimated for a couple days.
Excuse me, hi, this is James from WWC. That thing is actually our signature ultra rare CHUNKY long tentacle Aiptasia that has been fragged from our mother colony:

Keep an eye out for it in our next sale, where it will most likely sell at the low everyday price of $399+ shipping&handling. ;)

Cords are always a pain in this hobby. They're either way too short or WAY too long. I have managed to organize them on the new tank (so far) but there's still a mess behind the tank I need to velcro wrap or something. You can get those little cable organizer raceways off of Amazon and hide the wires under the stand. These ones stick on:

I don’t know why I find cabinet pictures so appealing, but that is awesome!

You can send all of that here... I need all I can get for the nudibranch to eat. Yes, I’m serious.
