Ok, this week's goals are quite simple, since I will only be with my tank for about 1 hour the whole week (on the way back from LAX before driving off to Yosemite).
1. Refill RODI, liquid food and AFR
Bonus: test something, anything at all, even salinity!
Taste test is quick!test something, anything at all, even salinity!
I think after a decade or so this becomes a hobby both ways.If I can only test one thing due to time constraints, I usually opt for testing the wife's patience.
Yes! Take it with a dash of quinine, a fizzy sulfa tablet and a leech. Stirred only. We'll call it the "Good Humours" cocktail!penicillin is one of my favorite cocktails.
I guess of the ways they could visually represent your job this is probably the best way. Other ways would be less stomachable id imagine…Conference dinner dessert: cheesecake in the shape of a Mycobacterium. With a shot of penicillin @907_Reefer

Got back to LAX last night, swung by the office to top up tank food/fluids at 11pm. Inspired by @i cant think took video with lights off and only a blacklight "torch".
Also, looks like Dinkins pods and amphipods have been getting BUSY! Don't see a single one during the day, but boy are they out at night!
For sure. Love the freak show. That's why I miss having a tank at home. Better in the office though at this stage in life.Nighttime exploring is the best isn’t it?!
I would have left the tank alone last night, but the beanching cyphastrea has been knocked over and was hanging precariously above the huge RFA by a paly that had grown over its base!. Had to rip it off and relocate it. The blenny had a total freakout, turned practically white and had to keep a close eye on it for jumping. That BTA is incredible in the UV. BTW for when you get a Foxface I think I’ve learned that you should never ever to in tank maintenance at night. Both of mine have had complete freak outs even when I’ve been working on the far side of the tank. I don’t know if they can see UV though.
My 3 haven’t really been too spooked when I’ve been messing around with the UV ‘torch’That BTA is incredible in the UV. I love the colours you’re getting! Mine are predominantly green in my 5’ tank but my nano gets me everything and anything!Got back to LAX last night, swung by the office to top up tank food/fluids at 11pm. Inspired by @i cant think took video with lights off and only a blacklight "torch".
