$16, not too bad!Wow, yea, that shroom is glorious. Good choice!
Not bad at all. I see people on here selling things like that for 150 dollars each.$16, not too bad!
Im hoping the scoly recovers. Beautiful lobo!!!In happier news, the porcelain isn't slowing down at all.
And the new lobo is looking mighty fine.
The scoly is not looking so fine, though. I am going to relocate it today because it's never been super happy where it is. Not sure what the best remedy is for a split like that.
Yeah, but they have no problem in my tank. I have the Reef Nutrition liquid food doser in a mini fridge pumping out ROE, Oyster Feast and Phyto 4x/day, and during the work week I'm shooting in freshly hatched baby brine shrimp and Reef Nutrition Pac Pods (dead, concentrated) on days when new BBS haven't hatched. These guys get filter fed a ton. They can also grab TDO pellets that drop in and get blown around by the gye 3x per day. And when I target feed TDO and NLS pellets to the firefish and yasha goby at the end of the day, they come out begging and I end up giving them a pellet or two also. Spoiled rotten.Do you just feed phyto to the porcelain or something else too?
They're filter feeders, right?
I remember seeing this. I have to admit, sometimes when I know I have to feed my fish, I have to fight myself to do it. It must be nice to have it already done. Is this tank in a home office? Office office. When it was just the 10g nano with a firefish and a blenny they were typically OK without food on the weekends. Also felt bad that some busy days I wouldn't feed them till the end of the day. With the 40g and the plan for wrasses, I wanted to make sure they were fed 4-5x per day every day, no frozen, so decided to set up the liquid autofeeder + eheim pellet autofeeder (which I plan to upgrade to a plank one day). ROE and TDO pellets are the staple--they love it and it's nutritious, and everything else is supplement.I remember seeing this. Simplicity Dosing (4-Head); any reviews?
Wondering if anyone has tried this and have any reviews to share. Looks like a great price compared to others on the market like DOS and Versas https://www.aquacave.com/simplicity-4-head-dosing-pump.htmlwww.reef2reef.com

Finally happening! I am merging my office IM Nuvo 10g and home Fluval Evo 13.5g into a new Office IM Nuvo 40L AIO!
This was a long and hard decision. I waffled between the SR60, the SR80, the 112INT and even the SR120, because I dream of having tangs. And most recently with the massive sale on EXTs, I did an in depth cost/benefit analysis of the 40L EXT. In the end the 40L AIO and the 40L EXT were about the right size for my office and with a budget I could swallow. So why the AIO instead of the EXT? Well, the idea of having sump flexibility really appealed to me, but all things considered, I thought that the AIO had the better safety features with the emergency overflow and pumps within the same circular system--and safety is paramount to me keeping a tank in my office! One major spill, and it will be O-U-T out!
Space reserved for more build details:
- Tank: Innovative Marine Nuvo 40L AIO
- Stand: Innovative Marine black APS stand
- Light: 3x Noopsyche K7 Mini
- Pump: 2x MightyJet 538gph DC return pumps

- ATO: IM TI Hydrofill + 5g carboy
- Skimmer: NuvoSkim mid-size skimmer
- Filtration: IM Custom Caddy w/floss + carbon + phosguard if necssary; Intank floss holder
- Heater/fans: IM Helio 200W titanium heater/controller as primary wih Finnex 300W titanium element + USB fans connected via Inkbird as failsafe
- Rocks: 40lb old school rock from Fiji and Marshall Islands (pics below, this stuff is super light and porous, not heavy solid bricks!) seeded with rock rubble from Tampa Bay Saltwater (from my IM 10g AIO chambers) + all of the TBS rocks in my Office IM Nuvo 10g
- Sand: Aragonite special grade + seeded with Fiji Mud
- Automation: Reef Factory dosing pump for All-For-Reef; Mini fridge + Reef Factory dosing pumps for Reef Nutrition liquid food
- RODI system: RODI buddy
- Salt: Fritz blue box
More details to follow
For now, here is the visual representation of my buid plan:
It will include a mini fridge with dosing pumps for automatic Reef Nutrition liquid food feeding (no more weekend fasting for my fishies/inverts). Will continue with dosing AFR. I opted against an AWC system since there is too much risk of overflow in an office setting. If there is a failure in the ATO, it should not be enough to overflow the tank, but if it does, then the overflow will first go into a galvanized steel pan under the tank, which should hold 4 gallons before spilling onto the office carpet.
And of course, my stocking plan:

Love your ingenuity! I’ll be following your revisions and satisfaction on this as I plan on adding a clam once my tank matures! Only 5- months old, so a way to go!Tiniest little giant clam ever!
Acclimating:
So tiny
No byssal threads that I could see.
Made a cup that the clam could sit in for a bit. Took 3 tries to get something functional. Has drilled holes for flow, sand substrate and a piece of rubble.
Super glued netting to one side of cup and glued a frag plot to the other side of the netting as an anchor.
Clam in the cup:
Cup/Clam in the tank, net draped over with the frag plug:
Net would be better if it were smaller, but maybe will deter curious fish (looking at you blenny) until it gets more bulk.
Should be interesting.
That thing is tiny! I have never kept a clam, but I have read to avoid any under 1.5" because they are more difficult to care for. Is there any truth to that?Tiniest little giant clam ever!

Rule Of Thumb. The babies need a massive amount of light and are less forgiving. I'm picking up a 35 degree reflector on Tuesday to see if I can rig it to the Reefbreeder Pico LED to shine a spotlight on the clam. They say phyto helps, but from what I've read, there's no replacement for more lightThat thing is tiny! looks great in there! Mine didn't have and hasn't put out any byssal threads.Tiniest little giant clam ever!
