I trimmed mine and then just put shoved the bottom in the rock next to the original piece. It will eventually encrust and you start to get a neat bush like appearance after a few clips...Might have to do something about this Gorg. It's grown too talk and getting blown by the returns. That acro below it is starting to go white...

I'll move the acro today, clip off some of the white parts and then work on the Gorg. It's grown a lot! I've got 4 other gorgs in the back and branching GSP (which is also technically a gorg). Might have to do some rearranging.

Just impulse bought a pair of pink streaks. Sell a couple of nems and it all goes to your head.
Oh well, I suppose adding a couple of pinkies, a C. rubeus and a C. brunneus all at the same time to an already well-stocked tank is a nice way of pushing myself to upgrade sooner rather than later...

Someone nabbed the 5' tank. Not a bad thing. I want to think about the next tank so I don't end up needing another upgrade so soon. Yearly tank transfer is a PITA!

In today's episode of Disastrous Adventures in Reefing with JoJo, we'll see what happens when our hero attempts to fix SPS island!
Problems:
1. Acro is covered up by the gorg and losing tissue ==> move to top of SPS island
2. Stylo is invading goldenrod anacropora ==> frag and temporarily place
3. Salvaged teal birdsnest frag knocked over by dumb as bricks snails ==> reglue
4. Salvaged neon birdsnest frags from frag tank struggling in sand bed ==> move to top of SPS island
5. Gorg is too tall and invading monti space ==> frag it
How'd we do? Judge for yourself. Fit for a Picasso painting if you ask me.
Man, that Stylo was hard to cut! I was afraid of knocking the whole thing over, but the branch finally snapped off, not before breaking an unintended small branch, though.
This beautiful gorg got trimmed too:

Now there's more breathing room for the montis
Nowhere to put the frag, so just stuffed it in a hole. Elegance is one of my strengths.
I'm ashamed to say the bubble algae is back and making a move while I've been idle...
That's it for today. I angered the acan and the blasto thinking I'd finally glue them somewhere, but couldn't find a decent spot for them.

Took some pics on Friday before leaving work. The Daisy Dukes palys are coming in super nice and have an amazing pink with metallic sheen. Couldn't capture it with the orange filters, but using only the yellow filter gets a bit closer.
Then there's a colony of Daisy Dukes on the sand bed next to Rainbow Infusions:
Sand bed is still just a litter of zoas/palys with a plate thrown in the mix:
SPS island doing OK after the Stylo/Anacro/Birdsnest massacre:
So much still to do, and now we're in the pre-Xmas rush!

A few coral updates:
1. The red monti cap finally seems to be having a growth spurt. You can see it encrusting over the rocks. I'm beginning to wonder what will happen when the monti meets the psammy.
2. Got a freebie weeping willow leather. Tiny little guy:
3. Happy to say that the octospawn is on the road to recovery. Thought it was a goner.
And for fun, the torch is doing OK. Not growing it seems, but doing OK.
