Jet Blue(JB) is now forever in the big pond in the sky!! JB was my Cobalt Blue lobster (FW)!
Last night, unbeknownst to me, he climbed out of the tank and made his way down to the bottom of the basement steps. Unfortunately my husband was on his way up from the basement at the same time and in the dim light spotted what he thought was the biggest bug he'd ever see. You guessed it.....one quick stomp and Jet Blue was no more!
Hey wait, that's not suicide, it's murder! I'll miss him, but my cory cats are sleeping much sounder now as JB's favorite past time was pinching sleeping corys.

That's not good. I bet that was a mess to clean up.

I lost an anemone crab the other day. I don't know what happened to him. I bought him soon after buying a mini carpet anemone, and he just never wanted anything to do with it. He would hide under a rock and come out in high flow areas to eat pretty frequently. He would be right out in the open and none of the fish would bother him. When I found him, he was still holding on to the stem of a candy cane, but dead. It reminded me of those bugs that morph out of their skin and leave the empty shell on trees. I had hoped he had molted or something, but no luck.

I am trying to imagine my wife in the dim light and coming across something that crawled out of my tank. :D They could make horror (or sci-fi) movies based on the 2' long eucinid worm I managed to remove from my tank a few years back. ;)

Do you have any of the mini carpets for sale or trade? Are these the green/pink ones from lisa?

Are you talking about one of the little ones about a dime size? If I can find it, I have one I'll sell for $10...what I paid for it. I did get it from Lisa, in Oak Ridge.

If you're looking for the ones that are about 4-6", they are actually cheapest at The Aquarium, if my memory is correct.

Ok. If I can find it, it's yours. I looked for a while and no luck yet. He is on a piece of rubble, but I can't find that piece of rubble. I think it may have fallen down into the bigger rocks.

Funny yet sad story. Always sucks losing a tank mate. I use to have a blue guy like that too but when i kept freshwater tanks. They are cool but always terrorizing fish :p
