My Red Sea Recipe. Still doing trace elements by hand. Full automation is best but do I really want to add another 4 head dose to dose trace elements at 0.8 ml a day?

Ca, Alk and Mag have been running for a week. Set up bottle cooler and started Reef Energy Plus today. It will go off at 10pm. I guess its time to test and adjust if needed.

Played with it a lot at first but settled on100% Blue 18% White. A few days of the week 90 and 18.

After 1 week with the ReefDose running I check parameters again.

Dkh 8.4 ----- Dropped from 10.4 Shooting for 11.0 Checked it twice.
Ca 440.0 ----- Dropped from 490 looking for 450
Mg 1440.0------ Drooped from 1560 looking for 1450

Ca and Mag look good. I am going to increase dose of Foundation B Carbonate Buffer and check again next week.

That was actually water in that bottle. Its live on the doser now and running at 41F in a 500ml bottle. . The problem is it has shut off a couple pf times. Not sure why. I do know of several people including a LFS that just dose it at room temp. I don't think the problem is it spoiling, its that it thickens up and clogs the line. Talked to one person that says he just keeps about a weeks worth in the bottle and its fine. The on-off switch on this cooler is a touch sensitive switch and hopefully I accidently hit is why it shut off.

@Jeffcb I agree with you on this potentially thickening and clogging the lines. For this reason I have a magnetic stirring plate for my dosing container that I’ll keep in the fridge too. As far as tank volume and dosing instructions go, a 250mL bottle will last me just at 7 days. That’s 12mL supplement per 25G system volume = 36 mL per day x 7 days = 252 mL. That’s at the rate for ULNS method and the fact that my custom sump adds more water than the stock RSR 250 system.

ReefDose is working well and as designed. I still have not onboarded the 4th head For Coral Nutrition AB+ because it is supposed to be refrigerated. I found this on Amazon but the cup is 70mm in diameter and the Red Sea bottle is 72. I may order one and see if I can modify it some how.

@Jeffcb looking at this it has a lot more cooling power than I imagined. Maybe I’ll pick one up. If I get a second vessel for my water change & mixing station I won’t have room for my fridge. I’ll have to use something like this if I dose out of a bottle bigger than 250mL

After week 2 of ReefDose operating....

Dkh 8.4 still low. (raised dose from 25ml to 30ml last week) I guess I will have to do a 10% water change with Coral Pro for the first time in 3 months to raise it.

Ca 480 correct

Mg 1520 still high but it had just dosed. Ill check it again this evening.

Unfortunately the Box was wet. 1 bag was leaking but still had about half the water. Hopefully its all good.

The Bounce Sauce is the Bomb. I did not know I couldn't feed it to the reef.

WWC Juicy Fruit Acropora and Flaming Bush Acro seem to be acclimating well on the rack. The Juicy Fruit bag was about half empty of water some how but I think its going to make it. I will do a pic update as soon as I glue them to a rock.

A few new pics..

Glued an Acan that has set on the bottom for a while to the rock.

Red mushroom colony started off as 2 mushrooms almost a year ago. Some how one got lose and floated to the back of the tank. There are about 10 more in the back now.

Strawberry Shortcake is growing well!
