Thanks, When it gets rolling start a build thread, actually start one now in the planning stages!. Look forward to following.Awesome build. Was really cool learning from you. Just now in the beginning stages of planning our first reef tank.
@Jeffcb although my return pump must be in the return section, I moved my UV pump to the skimmer section. Since I dose my minerals in the return section I don’t get any calcium in the UV pump. Just wondering if you could do something like this.I have been trying to raise the nutrients in the tank and its working . Corals are looking good.
I am noticing a lot more algae on the glass. I do have to clean it daily and figured it was from more nutrients.
Checked my UV Sicce pump and it was barley turning. A lot of calcium on the impeller. Dismantled it and soaked the impeller and other parts in 9% vinegar for about an hour. Operating perfectly now.
This morning no algae on the glass. WOW!
My UV pump is in the skimmer section. I dose directly in the tank until I get a doser. Its only 65 gallons. The calcium is everywhere. The impeller was caked with calcium. Just gotta keep an eye on those pumps.@Jeffcb although my return pump must be in the return section, I moved my UV pump to the skimmer section.
