Unless you have been there you just need to experience it. Started yesterday last week was practice week. We have a whole week of racing. The best and hardest road races in the world bar none.

On average over 2 die every year. There have been many calls to ban it. However, no rider is forced to enter in anyway. There are no championship points etc. All the races are one offs some 4 laps some 2. Many different classes. The riders who take part are all experienced racers. Course is 37.7 miles long with over 200 bends hitting speeds of up to 200 mph. Lap record around 134mph. I have rides it and driven it. But not at those speeds lol.5? Wow didn't know that
Remember Mike Hailwood set an absolute lap record in1967 on the Honda 500 Four that stood until it was broken by Mick Grant in 1975 riding a Kawasaki KR750.
At the time these records were set the Isle was part of the Grand Prix championship.

I was there in 1978 when Hailwood returned to the TT and won on a Ducati.
