Blacksmithing... I love forged in fire lol.

I have a passion for old arts

That’s super cool. Never known someone who forged things.
The guy running our local reef club is a previous champion of the show Forged in Fire.
Allen Newberry…. Pretty cool side hobby.

Probably rocket surgery :p

Honestly I have waaaay to many hobbys and I go from being more focused on one to the other. Right now its my tank...but we are going into the holiday's so now im doing allot of Halloween stuff building props modifying new props planning the big display. I also mess around with R/C planes and cars. Have built /restored more old cars than I can count. Summer is fishing season but only got out once this year, hopefully more next year.

Don't hunt anymore to much work. :)

Egads! I have amazing memories (and less amazing memories) of growing up hunting. Not having brought my sons up with th e same sense of how and why we hunt and the skills and failures that go with it does frustrate me. Hopefully they learned similar lessons from other successes and failures.

I mean, I'd definitely be a richer man. I have a bunch of hobbies that I don't spend as much time with since I'm elbows deep in the tank most of the time, but I probably would spend more time with my woodworking if I wasn't tinkering with the reef.

Music, I'd have spent the money on some new amp and guitars and sick af Roland keyboard/synth.

But after having gotten into reefing, if I had thr money in a lump, it would be electronics. Or whatever you would call prototyping electronic devices. I learned so much making controllers and dosing pumps that I'd def pick that up going back in time.

If you didn't get into the reef hobby, what other hobby would you likely have pursued and why?
I was into cars since I was little . I never really did anything else. mostly sport fwd drag racing. Short story I got in a hit a run totaled the car and I tried to rebuild another car. I waited two years for it at the machine shop and ventured into this. This is my if not this then what

Putting three kids through private school and college did not leave much for hobbies. When my youngest finished college we became empty nesters. We also had a little little bit of extra money to spend on a hobby. My choice was between restoring a classic car or a reef tank. We figured restoring a car would be too expensive. After setting up a reef tank I’m on my way to spend probably what I would’ve spent to restore car. Oh well, I love reefing so it’s all good.
