After a flood in our house last year, our tank had to be moved and spent 14 months in our garage. We lost most of our corals and some fish in the process. We finished repairs and got the tank back in the house in April and it’s finally settling in again and doing good!

Picked up this Colorado Sunburst last weekend and she’s looking good so far.

Excited for CA Reefapalooza to pick up some frags to repopulate the tank.

On the plus side, having the tank moved to the garage gave me the opportunity to build an equipment rack on the side. :)
That anenome looks amazing!

My 6 month old mix tank is doing awesome. Just finished dialling in Kalkwasser to Alk 0f 9 dkh and set up phyto and replenishment through my UV back into the tank via dosing pump 100mils per day. Six weeks and it looks stable, so very happy. My hippo tang is starting to pick at sps and lps, so trying to shift his attention to some hard to get cheato wedged between two egg crates. It seems to have work until theres no more cheato. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

My tank has taken a leap forward since moving from AFR to ESV. My alk is finally stable and the tank is cruising along. Sps haven't looked better.

Not great, but could be worse.

Flow has become a major major issue. The overgrown SPS have blocked all the flow, and I don't have a functioning powerhead for the other side. Everything is crowded and there is aiptasia where I can't reach it.

All together, I need to get that tank upgrade/transfer moving asap!

How it started, April 27th

How it's going, from August 3rd

Phosphate was a lil up there but I just threw some Rowaphos in there and I'm sure it's down to .04-.02, either way everything is happy. I'm now trying to figure out how much ALK/MAG/CAL my tank slurps up a week so I can figure out if I should dose AFR or just supplement ALK and let my water changes do the rest.

My tank has come back from a near total collapse. Although I lost some coral, I brought back many from the dead. So I'm very happy and learned a lot in the process.

It's doing better than the last few weeks. I got dinos after having undetectable nitrates and phosphates 2 or 3 weeks ago. Not a sign of snot or bubbles for the last 3 or 4 days. I have hair algae, but it's better than dinos.

Honestly I have no clue. Been away on vacation for 10 days. Apex has no alarms so hopefully everything ok.

Red Sea Reefer 425 seal failure yesterday as I knew it would a year ago. Red Sea needs to realize they are selling a product that could and very well might cause people to pack up the hobby altogether.

Not great, could be worse.

Small algae outbreaks are starting 2 months after tank move. Also small cyano patches are popping up. Nutrients are higher than normal. My thoughts are a dieoff and new flow patterns have affected the balance I once had.

Went to get the doser up and running for my AWCs and the dosing tube had a split in it causing a leak. No replacement parts so ordering a few spares.

At least my softies are enjoying the dirty water with the algae too haha

Ah the ole, vacay and pray. I know that move well. I like to setup a camera so if any alarms do go off I can try to see what’s going on and determine if it’s a real issue.

Yup. Camera is there. But glass is so dirty by now you can't tell if everything is still alive :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
