I have two. 235g main tank and a 5 or so gallon aio in my son’s room. I find the small nano incredibly satisfying and super easy to set up and maintain bc i can leverage the larger tank for many things (ie , rodi, mixed salt water, cured rock, moving corals back and forth, etc, etc).

I do a 50% wc in the nano every other week or so using buckets and pumps and tubing i already had so it’s incredibly easy which leads to a stable and healthy tank!

Hope to set up a few more nanos (10g-30g) in the coming years if i can find the space and get my wife’s ok!!

two and getting ready for a 3rd. I find multiple tanks helpful for multiple behaviors/personalities of fish. Also agree with being on top of it, watch it all closely and no vacations, lol.

I used to have 5 so consolidated down to 3 tanks now: 450g mixed, 150g SPS, and 93g Anemone.

Secret to success? I’ve planted a few of these cool plants.

At one time I had 7 tanks with the smallest being 60 gallons. Most were 180 , 200 , 240. I was younger and it didnt seem like a big deal. Now Im much older and just downsized to a 35 long AIO. From here on out I'm gonna try and enjoy this hobby on a smaller scale
Funny how that happens, huh?! My next tank will be my last. It'll pretty much be up and running until I check out. But mines gonna be a 203g. Never have had one that big. Been on my Bucket List, a tank over 200 gallons.

4 smaller saltwater plus multiple freshwater, but moving soon and using it as a time to switch to fewer but larger tanks
