UNS makes the best rimless aquariums, and they moving to making a reef tank with sump setup ! They looked amazing at reefapalooza
I am working on a reef tank based on a UNS 60c (it is a 60cm cube - about 56 gallons). The shop I got it from had a UNS 60 plumbed tank with sump. It did look nice, but had a few issues that made me go the diy route. First off, it was a slightly smaller aquarium. 2nd, the sump, while looking nice, was rather shoehorned into the stand. I can not blame them, getting a sump into a cube stand is a challenge. The shop felt they were a good first step into reef aquariums, but the sump still needed a bit of work.

Oh, I am sure price was also a factor - abet a wrong one. I got a bit of sticker shock, but honestly my diy will be more expensive before I am finished. I think my tank was $500, $150 in the overflow. I will have $200 in the sump and probably $600+ in the stand. So $1600 for the package was really not a bad deal.

can not edit the previous post, odd... Anyway, I guess my biggest excuse for going diy is I wanted a bean animal overflow and kind of preferred keeping using an external overflow box rather than taking up a complete vertical column of the tank. With a cube, the internal overflow would have probably been preferable to most people, I was looking for excuses to diy probably.
