I’ve come a long way... started with no sump and skimmer, to adding a sump but still no dosing. Just regular water changes. Parameters stay stable always and I sit at 0 nitrates, no matter how much I over feed :/

DSC_0146 :
280 liters freshwater diy build with 112 liters sump

diy LED which used to be driven by an APEX who just committed suicide :(

The tank is inhabited by some very nice Redback Macropods, a bunch of Amano Shrimps and a bunch of Kuhli Loaches

DSC_150 :
Spirulina Reactor with diy LED and a yotta steriliser ( freshwater only, but it works great :) )

Experiment ; I attempt to grow live peat moss - Sphagnum cuspidatum, in order to lower hardness
but it's harder than I tough it would be, it tend to rot if too moist...
