How big are we talkin here? Two overflows makes me think you're north of 100 gallons. Why not just one big over flow though?

I bought it used because it was a steal. The holes were drilled in the back already...3 sets of 2. The guy i got it from bought it in florida and never set it up..he had no idea what the set up was before, i suspect closed loop. I drilled the 2 outside pairs of holes bigger to fit 2 custom 3000 gph modular marine overflows and will use the existing 1.5" (2 3/8")middle holes as returns. It's 95x29x25 so about 290 gallons or so.

It's funny how easy it is to drill tanks if you use a template versus how nervous it makes you the first time.

At one of my club's local frag swaps (just members selling to each other at a members house. Not sure why a lot of y'all call a coral show a frag swap.) I made a custom acrylic ghost overflow with my cnc router and I did a live demonstration of drilling on a 40 breeder. We eventually raffled off the both of them, which was nice. Anywho, I literally just picked a random person out of the crowd and they drilled it. Like I always say, if you can pull a trigger then you can drill a tank.

The Modular marine came with a template but I made those others in case I needed them. First time drilling a tank so it was nerve racking...went smooth though.

Yeah the template is key. It keeps the bit from bouncing around. All you do is keep the water running and let the bit do it’s job. Those are perfect holes! Well done! Not so bad, is it?

And yeah, I make all my own overflows. I more or less just clone modular but I make much larger internals. My 5’ long display has a 4’ internal, for instance.

It wasn't too bad but just never had done it. The overflows are 30" wide each so it will be 60" of surface drain..pretty stoked. I would have rather had one long one with a return on each side but it is what it is.

Luckily all the measuring I did and gave to MM worked out

I’ve ordered from them in the past. They make a quality product, for sure.
