I was just at Reefapalooza and there were a few beauties there. One looked similar to amazeballs but was a little different. I forgot the name of it though.
How was RAP this year/ I talked to a few vendors that were there but I'm curious to hear a guests perspective?

So they do sting? There were some strings on my Bower and when I basted them off, there were some white marks that looked like stings.
they are highly toxic to corals and other living organisms (snails, fish, even humans etc)

Interesting. So I've had that strand before, confirmed via microscope. Yes, I had to turkey baste it off where it was touching the corals to prevent stinging, but rapidly bumping nutrients knocked them out in a week or two.

Having said that, it's been a long time since I've had to deal with that, and only ever done so once nutrients bottom out. That was just my experience, at least.
I say a within a week it should be gone...it's usually gone for me within 3 days. It gets bad really fast though

The other named ones I have are Laffy Taffy and Red Light District. The others are a peach one, rainbow one, red w/yellow, a red glittery one but it’s not a “glitter”, two different neon green ones.

Red light district:
(Not sure if it’s basically the same as the care bear or the tck one?)

It was super busy. Tons of guests. I bought heavy and made some great deals. I could barely carry my bags out. I did not see too many people doing the same thing as me though. I heard a lot of people asking what venders had for under $50. I do think the vendors did well though in general. I only went yesterday.

Mine must have just started right before I came home. A few Birdsnest frags were dead and a couple of burnt tips on the colony.

Silicate will help because it helps diatoms which out compete dinos. If you go light on silicate you don't even see any diatoms
I'll see if I can get some.
