What Phosphate and Nitrate numbers do you shoot for? I'd like to run similar to keep these beautiful colors.
I don’t chase those numbers much, I look at the corals and they tell me the story lol but I try to let them get to 0 then feed more. I know I know the new trend is a TON of nitrates but I was taught the old skool way and never really strayed off. I don’t like excess nutrients personally. But at this exact second I have a touch in one system and the other system nitrates are a little higher. Maybe I’ll test em later and post. :)

What par level do you keep your lights at for all these corals in your grow out tank?

I do believe that you represent corals in your pictures well.
It's just that a frag oftentimes changes as it grows into a colony.
It changes based on your tank and lighting. Sps can change colors in hours, in fact they will always be more dull in the morning vs after a full day of light. Sps depending on the environment it’s grown in can drastically change colors and growth patterns depending on the flow from the time you get the frag to the time it grows into a colony. It’s more the fresh maricultured wild corals that you need to worry about. I haven’t taken in any new colonies in about 2.5 years.

Yeah that was kind of my thoughts as well. If there were such thing as an sps that would guarantee to keep its exact same coloration over time, well, I wouldn't even classify it as an sps. It just comes down to the tank. I've seen the exact same frag take different colors at different locations in the tank, let alone entirely different tanks.

It's because I'm buying them all. I have a problem, and it's blue corals haha
One of the most bullet proof coral I have is blue…. Wet thumb fiji rainbow. Hand picked by a diver in Fiji. Iv had it captive for about 17 years now and it’s produced hundreds and hundreds of frags :)

Yes sir even moving a couple inches can affect the color good or bad. I think that’s what keeps me drivin in this hobby. Sps can be very easy but also VERY hard lol

If these sales were less labor intensive I’d take pics in white and blue but the amount of hours I put into these I can’t add anymore workload. Would take another 4 solid days. My thing is what lighting does everyone use at shows? What lighting does everybody show off their tank in? And lastly what spectrum do most reefers prefer to look at their tank under? Blue lol a lot of the vendors taking pics under “white” is not an accurate representation of the coral, most of them saturate it to where it looks like it glows under daylights but really it’s a trick… they add the pop in photoshop and make you believe it glows under daylight. I try to be as honest as I possibly can and I think my reputation proves that brother :)
I just want to be sure I’m not coming across as if you are misrepresenting anything. You are my favorite to buy sticks from and I have never been unsatisfied. I was just expressing general difficulty with finding blue as those are my favorite. I don’t look at my tank much under pure blues and love acros with contrasting colors with blues being my favorite. Just don’t want you to think I’m trying to be negative.

Super excited to see what drops today! Sorry if I rubbed you wrong!

Do you guys dip your sticks from here? I'm new to dipping and used coralrx per instructions on my last order from a person here in the classifieds. A few didn't make it but it seems as if it was just because they were lousy frags to begin with.

Always dip....no matter where you buy. Coral rx is harsh on acros IMO....kcl (potassium chloride) at 2 tablespoons per gallon 10-15 mins is gentle and effective

Sometimes I cover the plug with super glue just in case
