I bought two of the Reliance Hydroller water containers from campmor.com. Hydroller 8G/30L | Water Containers & Accessories | Reliance Products. Each holds 8 gallons. They are designed for camping, but work perfect for water changes. They have a wide mouth and easily hold powerheads. I mixed up 8 gallons of saltwater in one and used the other to drain 8 gallons from the tank before putting the powerhead with tubing into the new saltwater and into the tank. I did the water change in under 15 minutes. The containers are heavy plastic, safe for drinking water, thus safe for aquarium use. They are wheeled and have a handle. The container holding the old water is easily rolled to the sink for disposable using the powerhead and tubing. Since my DH hates my tanks, I must do all maintenance on them myself and this makes it so much easier. Not quite as easy as the 3 gal that I use a turkey baster to do water changes, but almost.

Can't imagine what my wife calls me. But she likes the tank.

I believe it is "Dear Husband" but YMMV, as in all things. ;)

$43 is a little pricey, but considering the wheels and Easy Factor - I like it! Thanks for posting this! I'm thinking of all the people schlepping water from their LFS - this would be great!

Just as another suggestion, around $40-50 can also usually buy you 50 feet of 3/4" vinyl tubing. If you have a pump to go with it, this also makes for *really* easy water changes. I even bought a radio frequency remote-controlled power outlet ($15 for three) so I can turn the pump on/off while I manage the "business end" of the hose.

I got mine much cheaper at Campmor. I just posted the link for the hydroller from Reliance. Walmart has them online for like $25. I ordered the two but they cancelled the order saying not in stock. DH is Dear Husband. LOL. He is the best diving buddy in the world and we have been married for 37 1/2 years but he thinks my SW tanks are way too much trouble. LOL.. I will do water changes much more often since it is so much easier and I did not get one drop of water in the floor. Matt, my tank is a long way from my sink. Having the water right next to the tank is more practical for me. With my old tank, I had to make the water in my hubby's bathroom and then carry it in 5 gal buckets (on luggage carrier because too heavey for me) to the computer room where the tank was and then carry the dirty water back to dispose of it in my husband's shower. I too, can not see buying my SW from the LFS. Way too much work.
