I was going to sand and refinish a whole side of the glass tank yesterday but I got home super late but I went ahead and tried the new pads I got on a small area. At first I freaked out when I used the rough pad as it turned my glass white but I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Luckily did the test on a side that would be less noticeable. Did the rough, then medium then fine. The fine left it pretty hazy but the polish cleared it up.

Blue circle toward the edge of the picture shows how the glass looked after the fine pad was used. and the red is what the glass ended up looking after the polish. I am not big on promoting products but this worked great. The glass area that I tested had a pretty deep scratch in it (red circle). This process took it out completely. I can't wait to do the rest of the tank. There is one area in the front of the tank which is where it looks like the had an animal clawing at the glass. I am going to document this step by step to show how good this works. I'll keep you posted.

So I know it’s been a long time since I updated this post. First I hope everyone is staying safe. I’ve been working on my aquascape. Tell me what you think. Be brutally honest. I can take it.

I've always liked arches. But the result is too flat across the top. It would be better if the right side could peak the highest, left side next and the arch was at a third level. I like the layout without the arch but it doesn't have an arch. If you add coral the final layout will be based on coral selection anyway.

How did the glass polishing go? I need to do the same. I bought a used tank and it looks like the previous guy used sandpaper to clean the glass.

Mike thanks for the feedback. I’ll add once I get the rocks in the tank.
The glass polish went great it definitely looks like a different tank. Glass still has some scratches but light ones but all that calcium build up, hard water stains all of that came out.

Worked on the flow for the display. I need to add one more pump in the back center but that will be next weekend’s project

Looking great! I like how you have room for the controllers on the side of the cabinet. Nice move.

I finally started my tank cycling on June 7th, so now the waiting came begins. I also start up a quarantine system for a couple of new fish for the tank. I start this a week later on the 14th. Started treatment with Prazipro and now I'm treating for ick. The craziest thing is that for two weeks there was no signs of ick and now that I am treating for it, it rears it's ugly face.
