It took breaking my tank down to this and selling off all my sps colonies to get me motivated again.

New, more open scape is in the works and I think it will be much better.

Thanks to Andy for motivating me. Ha

Dang D, you gonna do SPS again?

I'm not sure what is in store for the tank at this point, Playing it by ear. Definitely keep some sps but going to go for a more mix, natural look. We shall see. Maybe even two Magnifica nems. Who knows ha

Why the loss of motivation bro? I suppose a change of direction and keeping animals you like keeps the motivation.

It's just been hard to find time to work on the tank and it turned into more of an extra chore than something I was enjoying. This summer was a busy time for farming, i finally got married and with my boy running around like a miniature crazy person finding time was hard. But now the seasons coming to an end, things have calmed down and I've got some tank fever again. Ha

So here's the scape I came up with so far. I wanted a lot more open sand space and more swimming room. I'm probably going to get some more fish and possibly a new led light. Maybe the radion pro? Ha anyone have input on those new radions? They look like the bees knees

No problem bud!!! you do this every few years and I knew you would regret selling off your tank...it took me giving you a hard time but I think wiffey putting her foot down was the decision maker lol!!! Just glad your around still! dont trip every time you do this it comes out better!

While moving some stuff around last night I snapped this with my iphone6.

This is my OG ATL Raspberry lemonade. I've had this coral for probably at least 6 years now and 100's of frags of it have been taken to new tanks.. This colony was grown from a 1" nugget from my last HUGE colony that I sold off during my last upgrade.

It's pretty incredible how these long term aquacultured pieces hold up even with the condition of my tank right now. It really shows how much more adapted these pieces are to captivity. I'll take a proven long term aquacultured winner SPS than some chop shop fresh cut from the reef $600 piece any day.

Some of my new Black Bar Chromis that came today. These little critters are radical and fairly well mannered

I only had the one in there and he seems to just be putting them in check at this point establishing his turf, no biting so far. Lost 1 out of 7 during shipping and 1 other looks pretty beat up so we'll see. I'll be happy if at least 5 survive. They look really awesome swimming in and out of my stag colony.
