You may also unironically see an emerald at some point. We have one of the only emerald mines in North America
I know. I found a couple of nice ones. Also found a Honker star ruby.

Man, there's at least 8 decent sized possible sapphires. One looks like it might be jewelryable.
There's a 2-3 inch chunk of absolutely gorgeous unbroken rose quartz closer to the bottom. Should've kept it separate.

We've got some amethyst here in AZ.
Most of what we get as far as gemstones are rubies, sapphires, garnet, and emerald. The predominant rock types in the area are granite and quartz. There are some mountains nearby with literal pillars of quartz 100 feet wide

Big things that immediately became apparent to me: I like Christmas moss, I like the mini renecki, and anubias are rightfully well loved. They all are probably my favorite things I planted. The dwarf hairgrass was really annoying to keep from floating to the surface. Same with the mini renecki.

We’re you pinching the center of it?
I think so? Either way they're all planted now lol. Will try if I propagate some stems. The renecki was just super unwieldy to mess with

I too hate trying to plant hair grass. I saw a tutorial on the yous tubes that helped some, but not a lot. kind of ratchet it in there. pinch, plunge, release a little pull up a little, pinch, plunge... don't throw the tank across the room.

Really? They are so easy to plant for me lol. Worried I’ve been hurting the plants now lol.
