I've had a QT cycling for about a month now and it's just about done! It can drop ammonia no problem In a day , the nitrite is at about close to 24 hours to drop to 0.
Get the fish in it. While nitrite is poisonous to fish it isn't readily absorbed into marine fish. Nitrites are a much bigger issue for fresh water fish. As long as ammonia is good I would make the move.

You may also want to do a fresh water dip to provide temporary relief if you don't have the right meds on hand.

That's unfortunate , I have no luck with fish. I try to keep my water pristine .
I think pristine water helps coral more than fish. Most of the fish killers are parasites (velvet, ich, and brook among others) and not water quality related.

The only way to keep them out of your tank is through solid quarantine procedures. There are several good ways to quarantine, it is just a matter of finding what works for you.

^^ This. Brook can kill very quickly and it can linger on. I've seen a lot of brook and you really want to get it treated asap to have a chance. Get that ammonia down to zero and get the fish in there with a Ruby Reef Rally dip and metroplex in the QT itself. Follow up with more rally dips if needed and keep the metroplex in the water of the main QT. Leave the display fallow for 6 weeks. Read the link that was posted for you since it has good information for you on brook and how to treat it.

Hello, The fish ended up not making it . It must have been brooklynella. Literally next day they were gone . My concern is , what if it was ick? How long does a display then have to stay fallow? I was going to keep display empty for 2 months to rid of brooklynella if that's for sure what it was . I have ghostfed everything that's alive in DT .

76 days will cover you for ick, velvet, flukes and brook
Okay. Thank you for help! Should I do water changes during that time still. Hopefully after 76 days whatever disease is in tank is gone 100% so no other fish gets anything .

I also have another question. The DT has hermits Crabs shrimp etc., i checked salinity yesterday and it was lower then expected . Suppposed to be 1.024 and it was like 1.020. I think it happened when I added HOB skimmer and then added RO to supplement for missing water on accident ! But the question is I want to get it back up to 1.025 , what's a safe amount to raise it weekly or bi weekly so inverts are not harmed .

Just top off the tank with saltwater everyday until the salinity is back to normal. that's the safest way to raise salinity without getting crazy and going too fast on accident.
