WWC had their 11th anniversary sale yesterday, at which they opened their farm to the public. I have never been to their farm before so I had to stop by and check it out. One of the first things I noticed is how high their radions are off the water. They are further than 2 feet as I read somewhere and probably closer to 3. I also noticed they have t5 supplements on their farm sps tanks and not just radions. One of the owners, Vic, was awesome to talk to and even took the time to answer some questions I had even though they were so busy.

I picked up 5 frags from there. One of them I was terrified to dip just because of cost but I did anyways because it isn't going in my tank without being dipped. Here is one of the frags I grabbed.

WWC Budgie smuggler. Their colony has stunning pink tips to it. Vic said it needs to get to a larger size to really start getting those colors the colony shows.

Nice! I've been wondering if that Budgie Smuggler is really worth the initial price. Nice to hear it's stunning in person. I need to make a trip down to FL to visit WWC and Top Shelf Aquatics. Been meaning to do that for awhile

I totally forgot to look for the forge master. I have to go back in a week to grab this other frag they cut for me and I will for sure take a look.

Sounds good man! I'm sure it's a little overwhelming there with acro's left and right. Lol. I'm just really interested to see how/if it's holding those crazy yellow tips and also hear how it looks in person.

When my daughter gets a little older, better believe I'm gonna stop by wwc on a Disney trip. The Kentucky LFS "high end acro" scene isn't exactly on par with Florida, Cali, etc... ;-)

What's the other frag they cut? That smuggler looks crazy in pics. I actually got the forgemaster. It was too tempting. I'll be picking up next week

If you think Kentucky LFS high end acro scene isn't at par with Florida or Cali then you should see NC lfs acro scene...:confused::D

If you come make sure to ask to see their 900 gallon. They have that tank hidden in a back room that you can not see unless you ask for some reason.

Did you also get the King Fiji?

The other ones I got is the French Tickler, Berry Blast and two other unnamed corals. One of the unnamed, Vic pulled me to the side after seeing I liked the "high end" acros and showed me this unreleased coral. He said "you have never had seen anything like it" and he was right. I am a person who likes named corals but I could not resist this one. He had to cut a frag off while I was there so I am waiting for it to heal, I will get it next week.

How was the farm? Tons of stuff. They don't disclose that they have T5 also
I don't know when they added them as I went back and looked at their farm pics and I don't see them there. There are a couple t5's in between the radions.

The french tickler is another favorite of mine. Very unique color and growth form. I also want to get a berry blast at some point. Can't wait to see this unreleased frag you got! Jealous!

The Berry Blast frag I got is pretty green at the moment and the French Tickler doesn't have much pink yet either. They were giving out pretty good deals at their sale so I couldn't resist getting them. Your French Tickler frag looks pretty insane!

For the corals touching? I guess let the winner take over. I will cut the branches from running directly into each other but for the encrustment, there isn't much I can do.

You’re much more experienced than me, but when this happens I normally clip the majority of the loser from its base and just relocate it and let it settle elsewhere. While the old base gets taken over.

I doubt I'm more experienced. That sounds like good advice and if one totally starts to die I will do that.

Ya I got the king Fiji, wildfire, wow, and forgemaster. I'm waiting until the live sale is over to go pick them up. Save a trip and drive over once.

Tell me more about this unnamed piece.... is it that hot? Should I ask for a cut when I go over? What is it similar to?

You got some nice ones to pick up!

I was totally blown away by the unnamed one. It wasn't cheap and I usually never buy unnamed corals but I had to grab it. I can't wait to share it with you guys. I can't really think of anything similar, maybe when I share it you can think of something it looks like. It's in their farm, if you ask maybe they will let you see it. They had this other unreleased coral that you have to see if they let you but they wanted $1500 for a frag...;Wideyed

WOW!! That's crazy. Sounds out of my price range. I doubt they'll let me in the farm. But I'll ask anyway. Sounds like you got to see some good stuff

It's worth asking. Make sure to ask about the 900 gallon or you will totally miss it!
