I fully expected it because the exact same thing happens when I add anything dry to my display. I've assumed there's a competitive bacterial that needs to establish and/or maybe some film algae. Lets just be happy that the film algae and bacteria eventually win that battle!Well I’m glad it’s not only me, hahaha
The are the same. Here is where Reinaldo (owner of pirates reef) talks about it.
Yeah so many vendors share the same name and I think fruity pebbles is probably the most used.Is that the same kind of fruity pebbles I got from you? Seems like many have the same name from different vendors so wasn't sure. Thanks.
I have TCK Fruity pebbles, Pirates reef fruity pebbles and TSA Fruity pebbles. What is the other fruity pebbles that you do have?

This was it on June 25th, so about 5 1/2 months.
I use a reef octopus dual chamber reactor, carbon doser regulator and a Master Flex peristaltic pump. My ph and effluent is rock solid and never moves. Before I bought the peristaltic pump I was always having to adjust my flow as it would slow down after a few days. I thought it was the biggest pain and almost regretted having the calcium reactor. Buying that pump is the best thing I did.
I bought a used one off eBay for $450. The model is 7523-60. At the time they didn’t have that komoer doser that’s out now for around $250. It’s a cheaper option and it seems to work well for people.Which Masterflex peristaltic pump do you use? I looked them up and the cheapest I found was like $1,300. .
No but I learned the security feature works on my bank card, hahaha.Did u get anything last night Bubba?
Haha I agree completely on the gum drop. Cant believe he showed such a nice colony only to post encrusted pieces (cornbred style) on that sale. I also agree with the city slicker being overpriced. No but I learned the security feature works on my bank card, hahaha.
At the very end of the sale JF reduced the price on the Sunday Driver down to $799 from $1200. As soon as I seen it reduced I added it to my cart and tried to check out. I go through the whole process of entering my card number and hit complete order. An error pops up "card declined", I frantically enter the number again thinking I did something wrong but just get the same error. A moment later I hear my wife yell from the bedroom, as she was sleeping "Are you buying something from Jason Fox? The bank keeps texting me asking if I am trying to make a purchase and needs me to approve it." Well by time she approved the text and I got back to buy it the Sunday driver was sold. I was really bummed about it.
I also wanted the gumdrop but it was a total rip off to buy just an encrustment of a coral. They didn't even have a branch to them. It's gonna take 10 years to turn into something.
The city slicker also looked cool but not worth $300.
