No but I learned the security feature works on my bank card, hahaha.

At the very end of the sale JF reduced the price on the Sunday Driver down to $799 from $1200. As soon as I seen it reduced I added it to my cart and tried to check out. I go through the whole process of entering my card number and hit complete order. An error pops up "card declined", I frantically enter the number again thinking I did something wrong but just get the same error. A moment later I hear my wife yell from the bedroom, as she was sleeping "Are you buying something from Jason Fox? The bank keeps texting me asking if I am trying to make a purchase and needs me to approve it." Well by time she approved the text and I got back to buy it the Sunday driver was sold. I was really bummed about it.

I also wanted the gumdrop but it was a total rip off to buy just an encrustment of a coral. They didn't even have a branch to them. It's gonna take 10 years to turn into something.
The city slicker also looked cool but not worth $300.
The city slicker looked very similar to fantasy island too. I know jfox said they were very different but that's not true lol. They look almost identical.

Yep have had similar happen to me, is there a reason he doesn't allow paypal as that is the way I found to avoid the issue on alot of my odd purchases.

Also the PC rainbow looks great. I have stuck with a bunch of the more classic in my rebuild.

The older classics seem to be very hardy and grow fast.

Hi Bubba, Is this the one that you missed?

I am a big fan of your corals and pictures and how you maintain and let the corals pop. I wish I was that good.
But I cannot see the $$$$ value reflected in such a coral.
Please do not get me wrong as I would love to have it and see it evolve.
The prices nowadays are just wrong.
A bummer that you did not get it. When checking the website it does not seem "SOLD OUT".

It was that coral but not that specific frag.

I agree coral prices now are just plain stupid. People will say to stop buying coral so expensive and the cost will come down. That's only going to work if everyone agrees to do it but that's not ever going to happen as somebody is always willing to pay it. You find yourself stuck paying these stupid prices if you want a specific coral or waiting years until enough people have it where it's readily available. For me personally I just try and buy what I find pretty, wether it's that $35 PC Rainbow or that $800 Sunday driver. The good thing though is there are still lots of corals that are reasonably priced so everyone can enjoy the hobby.

With that being said the price of every coral will drop as more people acquire it and start selling it. Everyone wants to be the first to grab what’s “new and hot” first. That goes for everything in this world lol. If you’ve got deep pockets then what’s 800$ anyways. Money is meant to be spent, you can’t spend it when you’re dead ,so might as well enjoy it on things you want.

Losing the Mattv Rainbow envy was such a shock. I took this pic literally the day before I lost it. I came out the next morning and it had RTN. It looked healthy as could be. I ended up losing a handful of corals during that time.

That piece kills me. I've had exactly the same thing happen to me twice with it. Growing looking happy, polyp extension. Wake up one day it's completely gone!

I've got my third piece cooking in the frag tank now. It's encrusting and shooting fluffy polyps from the new growth. Maybe third time's the charm ...

Definitely the worse to see something all happy then bam RTN over night. Come back and see a chalk white frag

That's a total bummer. Third times going to be a charm for sure.

I think I lost mine because of that possible nutrient spike but I am still not sure what caused it. I lost several others within a few days also.

I went to a local reefers (Shannon Mcdonald) home yesterday and took a few pics. While I was there I was able to grab a Mattv Orange envy yesterday, I find it looks similar to the rainbow envy.

This was his colony.

He also had this other one that I really liked that I grabbed a frag of also. I am really interested to see what it will look like in my tank.

The are the same. Here is where Reinaldo (owner of pirates reef) talks about it.

This is very interesting. I didn't know that. I have both but they are just frags, but right now they look nothing alike. I'll post pics when my lights come on.

Here is a pic of both of them side by side. The left one is PR Fruity pebbles and the right one is BC bubblebath unicorn

fruity pebbles and unicorn samething.jpg

I have had this conversation with Reynaldo from Pr and we have always came to the same conclusion .... unicorn and pebbles are the same coral. But let me tell you that fruity pebbles in person is STUNNING. It’s definitely a must have

Here is my Bubble Bath Unicorn from Adam at Battle Corals

Here is my Fruity Pebbles from Reinaldo at Prates Reef

Now that I'm looking at them side by side, the structures do appear to be very close if not the same. The coloration is miles apart right now, but we'll see how that progresses as I've only had them for a few months...

I think the main body color looks different for now but if you look at the tips of both your corals they are both getting that same yellow, green and purple color.

I agree. It will be interesting to see how they progress.
