Stand fans. I'm hopeful we can use the computer fans daisy chained as planned, but I have seen some that I like. Any particular one you found better than others?

I do like the IceCap 12v fans (CoralVue now). They are a little tougher to be used in the harsh marine environment and even have a small thermistor to automatically adjust the fan speed to the temperature. As temps go up, the fan ramps up faster. As the ambient temperature drops, the fan blows slower.

I will have two 120mm fans in my 125, but one would probably be fine. I am just planning a little fresh air flow through the stand, not so much for temperature control. I am using Stealth 120mm 12v fans in my stand. I will use two 4" IceCaps in my canopy.

For my personal tanks i only put rock in the display. The big tank at the store will have a large rubbermaid trough plumbed in to keep rock cycled for customers.
This will also have chaeto and mangroves

What's with all the fans, humidity in the stand troublesome? Mold? Deteriorate the stands? Must be a southern thing.
just wondering

Before I went with a reactor I used a couple different things to carbon filter the water. But this is easy to figure out for yourself. 5 gallon white bucket with tank water in it, maybe 4 gallons. Is the water clear or yellow? If yellow, place a bag of carbon in the bucket and add a small power head. Observe over time for water clarity. How long does it take the water to become clear? Also if you are seeing signs of allopathy despite having a bag of carbon in the sump or tank then likely you are getting too much bypass of water around the carbon. An aquaon in tank filter with carbon it cleared the water of yellowing by products much faster than setting a bag in the bucket. That was enough for me. Used one like that for a long while before I got a carbon reactor. Just my 2 cents of experience.
