I would wait till after treatment. That fine sand will clear from the water. But you will be cleaning it from the rocks for a few days
I’ve waited months, but now that I made the decision (thanks @Why-Me !) I want to put it in tonight! :(

good advice though, I’ll wait till after my water change. This crap is dying off already. Crazy how fast it started to grow once it got in the tank and got a foothold.

Miracle Tank update. Stand was done yesterday. (Picking it up next week) Tank should be almost done. Sand ordered. Some plumbing has arrived. (thank you @siggy) We have our return pump, skimmer, and powerheads. We have live rock. (ironically bought 90lbs from a local reefer last year)

We brought back some live rock from the beach this year, but it's very dense. Planning on using it in our sump. Most of the rock in my DT now is dense like that too. Pretty sure it's from the ocean.

Is there a particular place in the sump that live rock is best? There is no room in our sump where the skimmer goes.
I like to place my trash like plugs, skeletons and rubble in the first chamber. That's where I see the largest pod colonies.
Then water flows into my skimmer chamber where I have my bio bricks heater and skimmer. Pretty std I would guess.
