To some degree, yes. There are spots where I can’t reach so I let it grow there as kind of a back up Incase nutrients drop again. I’ve had spots of cyano for a while.
Stop cleaning it off for a week. Then leave one side dirty.

I have long strings of hair algae with a bubble here and there, pretty sure it's not dinos.
I could be wrong but it's not snotty, slimy like dinos look.
Either way it'll be gone soon, dosed my first round of Fluconazole Saturday and First round of Vibrant today!!
Not looking for pristine aquarium but to get rid of the abundance of algae overgrowing the rockwork.

Fluc + vibrant = a pristine tank lol

I haven’t touched it in two weeks and I guess maybe the cyano is going nuts. It might be time for a skimmer for the frag tank. I should also test nutrients daily in there until I get on a consistent rhythm.

My corals are bloomin right now, happy as can be. If there's a negative change I may start WC but no complaints right now.

I doubt either it will affect your corals but I’m not sure how the two work together. Both are highly effective at treating gha. The fluc works faster but you can’t skim or change the water while it’s in the system.

Exactly why I went with both, multiple WC and fluc is BYE FELICIA!! and can keep on with vibrant treatment.
Or I can stop vibrant now before dosing anymore. Either way I feel covered.

Or dead fish, tissue recession, and dinos next?

Serious people, read about what might happen, not dissing anyone, I used to study safety data sheets as part of my last job, i don't use chemicals, please be careful.

You shouldn’t water change with fluc. You want to keep the treatment in the water and keep things untouched for at least 14 days.

Yes I know that, what I'm saying is if there is any issues I can do multiple WC to help flush majority of it from the system. And then go on with vibrant treatment if I want to.

Worried I may have Dino again in the frag tank. I got my new batch order of hanna regeants today which is nice.

What puzzles me is there is a lot of turf algae and cyano in there. Some of the cyano strands have big ole bubbles in them which is odd as well.

I’m wondering if this is Dino dooking it out with cyano and the turf algae.

When I started this hobby, I knew there would be a lot of ugly phases and expected it to happen to me. I never expected a cycle of Dino then cyano and Dino then cyano.

Getting a new tank even remotely stable is such a beating, I haven’t even had any GHA yet :/

My frag tank is about 4-5 months old, I wonder how much longer it will take until I find a nice rhythm for it.
Cyano can have large bubbles in it as well. A scope will tell your for sure

@Katrina71 my blues are on but here are the bubbles. I tested my display and frag and my parameters are the best they’ve ever been. .006 and .016 for phosphates (display and frag respectively) and 3 and 1 for nitrates.

I’m curious how low you need everything to prevent cyano growth? It seems to be thriving in my frag tank with nutrients so low.

@Why-Me I wasn't meaning what I said as a dis. I was just saying what happened with me. Everybody has a different way. I just killed all of my fish except one. I just wanted you to know it was not directed at you in any way.
No worries, it wasn't taken that way.
I'm just done with allowing the algae overgrow my tank is all.
Now that everything is glued down I can't pull each rock and scrub it anymore.
