Screw it, going to give microbacter 7 a shot. I still believe there is no such thing as bacteria that can consume material amounts of waste or especially nitrates/phosphates.

My lfs jokingly said to report back to her if the magical microbacter has any merit behind it so she can actually sell some.

I believe Brightwell also makes a Microbacter clean that is supposed to out compete the bad algae/bacteria to help stabilize the tank...I haven't tried it myself. Have had people on R2R who have told me they will always dose a small amount of microbacter 7 for as long as they're reefing., for tank stability/coral health.

@Katrina71 my blues are on but here are the bubbles. I tested my display and frag and my parameters are the best they’ve ever been. .006 and .016 for phosphates (display and frag respectively) and 3 and 1 for nitrates.

I’m curious how low you need everything to prevent cyano growth? It seems to be thriving in my frag tank with nutrients so low.

Look at my build thread lol, tanks go through some UGLY phases! it’s your frag tank so I wouldn’t worry tooo much about some spots, as long as it’s not taking over you should be fine. That being said, if you want to dose something, all I can say is that I used this a couple months ago with no consequences except my cyano disappearing within a few days. I followed the instructions exactly, but dosed as if my tank was 20g and not 28. (Just in case!).

Kinda like dosing Stability in fw tanks. Interesting...

Spot on.

I don’t give a s*** about ugliest until they grow on my corals tissue/surrounding plug.

Both of my leptos are still recovering from algae that managed to grow on their tissue.

I also just hate basting directly on the polyps to get crap off. I just want to leave my hands out of the tank as much as possible.

Now that I have my parameters right where I want them, going to try and figure out how to slowly get rid of this cyano.

Not too stressed but it’s sureounding that chalice I really revived.

My lfs wasn’t successful in fulfilling my mccoskers flasher wrasse, every major online vendor is out of stock as well.

There are only a handful of shadier vendors that currently carry it. My qt tank is ready to go and I want to get the show on the road.

Do y’all think it’s worth it to bite the bullet and go with blue zoo aquatics? I’ve heard some pretty bad reviews on here.
