I ended up purchasing a large cylindrical glass vase thats 7" in diameter and 24" tall which can hold ~4 gallons. Vinyl wrapped it black and cut a slit to check water level. Also 3D printed a lid for it and installed my Tunze 3155 osmolator. Works like a charm!
It's still sexy as hell imo. The problem with the Z (other than a b to work on) was that it's a dog out of the hole. It's a much better car for road racing than in a straight line. I've been thinking about getting an Evo9 (while I'm not crazy about how they look--they're easy to work on) here recently...guess I'm hitting mid life crisis since I sold the Z in 2012 lol

Oh yeah! There's an R32 around here that is sweet. I looked into them a while back and thought the R33 is where it's at if you're a driver... that R34 has too much fly by wire imo. Not sure I could get over the rhd though...Agreed! Still fairly rare to see the Zs from where I live.
EVOs are nice. Contemplated getting one when we had our daughter but I knew I was not going to leave it untouched LOL 2 project cars and reefing woulda been $$$$ hahaha. Current goal now is: if I ever sell my integra drag car, I may think about getting a Skyline R33 GTR...

Yep don’t dose if it isn’t needed, or dose less if less is needed. As for nitrate testing, not sure on that one. With hobby grade tests we can only get so accurate and honestly for nitrates that difference is small. If both consistently test in that range I’d say that’s more important than the actual number.
With the Hanna are you using the high range I assume and would trust that more than any color chart test. Reason I asked about if you're using the HR is I have the low range, but have to use the dilution steps from time to time and they are quirky to read in manual so found Mr. Saltwater YouTube on dilution who simplifies the steps for LR kit. Calcium is high so just let it come down naturally/slowing some 50-80 or so to 420-450 range. Your water changes are more frequent than what most do including myself I do maybe 10% monthly if that anymore just to replenish some trace elements I don't dose. Magnesium in my tank barely moves and do not have to dose it often so I attribute your water changes to it remaining high. What are your phoshates at? I keep mine .05-.10 ppm and test w/ low range Hanna phosphate tester.

Yes I am using the Nitrate HR tester and it shows 11.7.
