If your LFS is 'a bit pricey' but the quality is up to your expectations, I'd always go with the LFS! You can see the fish first, and you support a local business- one you might need when the sh#t hits the fan..

I only buy my fish from one specific shop; I know their way and I know how the fish are handled.
To me, supporting a local shop is extremely important. I like to build relationships with businesses. This way if you are in need of help rather quickly or need some extra advice or you are in a tough situation, they are more willing to help. Plus, if your LFS sells quality livestock you know what you are getting and will have less problems.
