So it begins — finally relocated everything (minus the sand) from the 175g to the frag tank! Since we got some strong nephews over for dinner, we managed to move the 360g and sump to their spot.

Still a lot of work ahead but looking good so far….

Need to build light racks since 2xXR30s will not be enough to light a 60x30 tank. That’s our next project while we build the 360g.

I do need help with those pesky 80x20 setup tho - never done they before.

I have a concern with putting this much pressure on 6 leveling feet on top of porcelain flooring — they might crack! Should I cut off / remove the feet to distribute load?

I would remove them and put shims where needed.
That’s what I’m leaning into. The tank is on at least 6” of concrete slab but not sure about the porcelain if one of the feet is on the edge of the tile. Will need to wait for some big boys to come over to take down the tank. I’m very grateful that the tank is acrylic — can’t imagine lifting and moving a 360g GLASS tank around!

Just tested the water yesterday and after the transfer, Nitrate was 63 and Phosphate was 0.9 - yikes!!! I've dosed PhosphateRx to bring in down but will need to address the Nitrate soon.

So far, no loss though. I'm concerned about the Haddonis that are moving around the rocks -- they do need sand, which has not been rinsed yet. I'm still considering to go BB on the frag/lagoon tank.

@don.chaneaux - a lot of work ahead. If you’re bored, come over and help me plumb the tank? I definitely need more manpower and your super OCD brain to make this perfect!!! :)
@bakbay - will definitely contact you if I can swing by! I'm not super OCD just plain OCD. OCD goes out the window when I spend too much time on something then it just turns into something that needs to get done. haha :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Finally done — consolidated all three tanks (Oceanic 175g, RSR 250 60g, IM 25g) into one Advanced Acrylics 93g frag tank!

Before and after

Interesting observation with clowns — they mimic other clowns? I had two clown fish for 8mos and they refused to get hosted by the Haddonis. Well, since I consolidated tanks with nem-hosting clowns, those two started fighting for territory and now being hosted by nems!

Learn something new everyday! ha

Speaking of nems - the Colorado nems naturally split today, a few days after the move. Hope it was due to being happy on a bigger tank with rocks and it wasn’t due to stress? Anyway, not complaining— now I have another one!

Everybody is still healthy after the split. This frag tank is evolving into a nem-dominated lagoon with 4 Haddonis, 5 Colorados, and 2 Chicago anemones.

Ended up scrapping the whole thing!$&@ so frustrating! Likely a pilot error but I’ve seen people did this and had time to squeeze the bubbles out. With this one, it dried up too fast!

Help?

Cycling the 360g will be super simple. Once salted, I’ll just turn the handle to combine the current 93g frag tank to the main tank and instant cycle! lol — well, at least that’s the current plan.

Well — it’s been a struggle to get this build thread off the ground. Unfortunately, the 360g dream tank will need to shut down before it really started. Thanks for everyone’s help with this build - I’ve learned a lot and it’s very much appreciated.
