So I read that the reagent solution can be discarded back into the tank after testing.
How many of you do this?
You can use any. Here is their table: http://www.focustronic.net/media/wysiwyg/KH_Solution_Table_2.pdf
For those of us that refuse to give into having a facebook account?
Where do we get this information?
I too don't have a Facebook account, thankfully the Focustronic posts are public. As much as I dislike Facebook, I can't resist checking the Focustronic page occasionally to see what they are working on. I've become a big fan of their products.

Is that all the Alkatronic solution is ? Sulfuric acid ?I pulled the trigger on getting one of these and I couldnt be happier.
The software/blutooth stuff can be annoying at first, but its definitely worth it.
Best part of this for me, and why I went this direction instead of a Trident is Reagent refills. I didnt want to start having a monthly payment on pricey reagent refills, especially for something like Magnesium. Not to mention the fact, that finding someone that has them can be headache. With Alkatronic, you can buy Reagents in large quantities, for a good price, and the most attractive part for me, is there is a DIY route you can go for the reagent as well.
a cheap 2L bottle of sulfuric acid is only an amazon prime delivery away. i dont have to think twice about how many times I want this thing to test every day.
extremely diluted, but yes... there's a thread here that explains it.Is that all the Alkatronic solution is ? Sulfuric acid ?
dang. The Alkatronic stuff is so expensive too. Crazy. I’d love to find out the ratio or formula.extremely diluted, but yes... there's a thread here that explains it.
I don’t know if their concentrated reagent solution is sulfuric acid. But if you mix, I believe the sulfuric acid 1N, at the same 4:1 ratio with RODI water. It works the sameIs that all the Alkatronic solution is ? Sulfuric acid ?
