Update for today, So I have been feeding 2-3 times a day a mix of flake, pellet, and frozen mysis shrimp that has been soaked in Selcon. I do not have a protein skimmer yet and am still having issues with keeping Nitrates above 1-2 ppm, so I am starting to dose Potassium Nitrate again daily in hopes of getting my Nitrates up. I am also hoping that once i add 3-4 more fish the bioload will naturally increase the Nitrate levels, never did I think a well lit refugium would do soo much for nutrient control.

Update, the tank is now 3months and 3weeks old! So the tank is still in its ugly stage but getting better every day, the red cyano is dying off day by day now without any chemical treatment just letting it resolve itself. I have picked up a screaming deal of a skimmer (Reef Octo int110) for $50 that was in perfect working order, I know it is a little underpowered for my tank but its more than enough for me! I still only have 3 corals in the tank Yellow hammer, 2 Head frogspawn, and a Ric, I am not adding any more coral until the tank stabilizes. The Lps is still not opening all the way as it should so I know the tank is not there yet, Once they start thriving not just surviving I will start adding more. I am currently dosing 25ml of ALK and CAL daily, I have no idea what is using it up but something is and I think it is the Lactuca Ulva since there is nothing else that can consume soo much. I have been dosing Phosphates to the tank to keep them above 0.02 at all times, so daily dosing and I have cut down on the Nitrate dosing since it has stabilized. All the fish are doing great, they are all eating like pigs that have never seen food before.... When I got the Blonde Naso he/she was in good health but declined for a bit once it got into my tank(got skinny), I think it was just stress. Since then it the pinched stomach has disappeared and it is eating very well and putting on weight. All the fish love the Ulva that has been growing on the rocks and back wall of the tank so that is a win in my book, although I do hate that I have to check my perforations in my sump daily to remove and Ulva that has clogged it up. Other then that the tank is slowly getting there, I plan to get 3 more fish and be done with it for fish stock.

Hey guys I have not updated in a long time but the tank is moving along! Still have cyano but it is going away slowly, i have removed the sea lettuce completely out of the refugium. It has been replaced with cheato, the rock has been removed out of the sump and replaced with miracle mud. Coralline algae has exploded in the tank so I thought it was time to add some coral!!! I also picked up a tri color wrasse and a Lubbock wrasse

Just a little update, the tank so far is now on auto pilot without any water changes. I dose replenish weekly from brightwells, cal and alk uptake is at 47ml of each daily, I ipicked up a few more corals since the last update. I will be making a list of the coral in the tank tomorrow and doing some progress shot.
