So here is the current plan, I am going to run a fishless, skimmerless, clean cycle for at least 1-2 months without lights. I will be using seachem Stability as my Bac in a bottle, will do some phantom feeding also to produce some ammonia. I have no skimmer or lights yet for the tank, I will be getting those things around the end of Feb to the beginning of March. This will be the point I start adding fish, atm fish stock ideas go as follows Clown pair, fox face, yellow choris wrasse, tribal blenny, pajama cardinal pair, couple fairy wrasse, and last to be added will be a purple tang, and chevron tang. let me know what you guys think!

Once the overflow started getting water I sprung a leak.... thought it was the plumbing but turns out I just needed to tighten a bulkhead, so I hit both and the leak is gone for now. The important part comes once the return is turned on.

She is wet and running, no leaks so far fingers crossed. Going to bring her up to temp then add salt, once she is salty I will add in some food and bac in a bottle

Quick update, Well Seachem Stability works like a dream to cycle a tank haha. Day 3 of cycle ph 8.2 ammo 1ppm nitrite 5ppm nitrate 20ppm, day 4 of cycle ph 8.2 ammo o.50ppm nitrite 0ppm nitrate 70-80ppm. so far so good in a few days I will add some Chaetomorpha Linum to start soaking up those nitrates, a few days after that I will test again including Phos test with Hanna ULR.

Another little update, my old ph probe on my Apex dried out so I was measuring ph with api. Today I received my new ph probe from bulk reef supply, I got the brs brand. I have 5 packs of 7.0 and 10.0 from pinpoint so I got it calibrated and it shows 7.97 as my current ph. I am thinking once I get my skimmer the ph should go up with good aeration.

We have very similar set ups! I set up a 90 5 months ago. With a trigger sump, 360’s (now with a hybrid and 360s). Good work on your tank !

It’s insanely bright you really only should need 2. It’s over 300 par the top 8 inches

I also recommend getting a tang near the beginning to help eat any algae that forms from cycling

Thanks, I need it haha but I plan on either a lawnmower blenny or tribal for the 1st fish as they are algae killers

It is very dry here in Denver, so a 5 gallon ato gets used up in about 2.4 days haha. I fill it daily to keep it topped off

That’s why I went with the trigger 10gal ato resovoir . Lasts about a week depending on weather

Quick update I ended up cleaning my second xf230 and placing it on the opposite side of the other set on gradual ramp to 60% and set on counter sync.
