Another update so I just tested the water and the results are in. Ammo 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10-15ppm phos .120 so tomorrow I get my Ulva Lactuca aka sea lettuce, 2 cleaner shrimp some cup and a tribal blenny!

Haha not yet just some cuc and one fish for now but once I add most the fish I want and have the tank run like that for a month or so then I will add lights and start the coral process

A little update, I went to my LFS and picked up 12 hermits dwarf, 1 skunk cleaner shrimp and a Randalls goby pair as the 1st inhabitants of the tank. So it begins haha, but that will be it for a month or so then I will get more fish.

Update, today I added a baby yellow coris wrasse and my macro algae of choice Ulva Lactuca! Going to run the refuge on a 12 hour cycle

Today I noticed that the Lactuca Ulva likes to clog the perforations to the return section, so I built a basket out of eggcrate and mesh screen. Problem solved!

Today’s parameters Ammo 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 3, Phos.092, Ph 8.04. Nitrate is lower then I would like so time to feed 3 times a day!

Today’s readings Ammo 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 4-5, Phos 0.055. Lactuca Ulva has gone from 1oz to 6oz so it has grown a TON! I would like to get my Nitrates up to about 10ppm and keep them there and Phos at 0.04-0.06 that in my eyes is perfect.

Bigish update, so I picked up an ATI 6x54 48inch fixture with 5 blue+ and one purple+ for this tank as it will be more than enough to do an SPS dominant with an added LED supplement bar light. I have picked up a small 2inch purple tang, lawnmower blenny and 30 more hermits with half going to the refugium to keep it clean down there. Todays readings Ammo 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 2-3ppm and Phos at 0.04-0.06, I have had to dose PN to keep readable Nitrates.

Did not want to hang the light fixture so my father and I made a custom stand for the light, well more like legs. I still need to paint it and finalize it, what you guys think?

Picked up a cleaner shrimp so that makes two now! Also grabbed a Foxface rabbitfish and a nice and fat Blond naso. Sorry the foxface was hiding and I could not get a pic, also got 2 tiger conches!

This will be it for fish additions for a couple of months, I am going to let the tank run and do it’s thing for awhile. I might get some more Lps maybe Zoas and that’s it
