True. And I don’t see why there’s an issue with it because if I don’t need to know it for my career then I’m not gonna learn it. There’s no way that I’m going to use all this math knowledge as a funeral director. Yes there’s some that’ll help but I don’t need all these stupid years of math class to help me in my profession.School tip #1. Homework with friends is still homework because homework is stupid. And this is coming from a straight a student
It’s very much a gray area. You find yourself not needing it until some random point that you do. Either way, I completely agree that at least half of the stuff has no applications for day to day life or most professions.True. Just found this thread and am only on page 1 so forgive me if others have answered this already. You don't have a skimmer on a 125??? Yikes, you really need a good one. In the meantime, several good sized water changes over the course of a week are probably in order. You can also start running GFO or use other methods of nutrient control, but right now I'd order a skimmer and do water changes.Over 10!!!!
Don't shoot me
When I was in public school, I hated homework, it was just so stupid.School tip #1. Homework with friends is still homework because homework is stupid. And this is coming from a straight a student
Precisely. One lecture has taught me more than years of the American Education System. I love my country but our education system needs help. It was last year when I understood that the Union Flag was the American Flag because the Confederacy was trying to break away from America. That’s a problem. From the teachers during lectures one would hope
Like he said a good well thought out lecture. Overwhelming us with homework is not helping us to learn anything. While we do have a few absolutely INCREDIBLE educators, we also have terrible ones that we can’t stand, that overwhelm us, that cause us turmoil and then they say “We’re doing it in love, for your better.” That’s bull. How else are you going to learn anything?
No, I couldn’t stand physical education. I was always great in Sciences English and some History.AP gym anyone?
Yeah, if you want to help us teach us how to do taxes how to actually prepare food (I’m amazed at the amount that don’t even know how to make mac & cheese) teach us actual things we’ll use and tell us how we will use it in the real world. It’s very much a gray area. You find yourself not needing it until some random point that you do. Either way, I completely agree that at least half of the stuff has no applications for day to day life or most professions.
I’d love one but I can’t get past the short lifespan. I like the 10-20 year animals. 2 years seems like a lot of work for so little time to enjoy.Seriously thought about a species tank for these guys
Yeah, I like seahorses too, but also short life span.I’d love one but I can’t get past the short lifespan. I like the 10-20 year animals. 2 years seems like a lot of work for so little time to enjoy.
At least they breed fast. Almost self sufficient like guppies.Yeah, I like seahorses too, but also short life span.
Very true. I got one in the 80's , imagine my surprise when there was a few hundred babies a couple days later. LolAt least they breed fast. Almost self sufficient like guppies.
I seriously thought about an octopus, but in addition to the short lifespan, I got worried about keeping such an intelligent creature in a tank. I feel the same way about large public aquariums keeping large marine mammals. Just seems cruel. That being said, I actually think my yellowtail damsels are very smart as well...but just plain evil.I’d love one but I can’t get past the short lifespan. Yeah I agree. They deserve huge tanks enough for them to not realize there is glass around them. Then again, all of the fish we keep do too. Also, about intelligence, I’d be worried about an octopus getting out and killing em in my sleep just because it could.I seriously thought about an octopus, but in addition to the short lifespan, I got worried about keeping such an intelligent creature in a tank.
