Lovin the Star Wars action you have goin on! Got any more pics of that room?

Edit - just found the post of the collection on page 5. My inner geek is insanely jealous of that collection. My wife would kill me in my sleep if I even contemplated building something like that lol

Awesome build as well! All these amazing DIY stands are motivating me to get off my butt and actually learn how to build one some day

I’m using a pair of Tunze 6255’s, midway down the back panel and pointed to the center of the front. I have one side ramp from 30-60% while the other side pulses 30-90, then swaps after the 10 minute ramp ends. See my build thread for pics as I’ve got a different setup.

i will get pics soon, but so far have not been having any success with ups frags seem to die after about 2 weeks. A few corals have seem to take off and the fish so far are great. I love my tank but impossible to get a good flow in for the 3x3 footprint.

Have to refresh my memory on your build but I use gyres as my main flow on my 30x30.

I just picked up a 36”x36”x30” tall. I’m going to use mp40’s. I thought about gyres verticals to spin the current.

I am going to be using 2x Jebao SCP-150's on my 150 cube. I am hoping it will do the trick for me. So it should make the whole tank into a gyre but may have to deal with blowing sand.

I couldn't get good flow with 4xMP40QD's. I'm now running a pair of Tunze 6255's and have tons of flow at a max of 40% power. I got them because they are about the biggest Tunze I could run, but placement is limited because they will draw a strong vortex from the surface. If I had been planning to make a canopy when I got the pumps, I would have gotten 4x of a smaller Tunze 6105 or 6155's so that I could have front to back or side to side flow. As it is, I have great flow all around, but the water always flows from front to back in the center of my tank and 4 pumps would allow me to solve that fairly easily. I'm going to try moving my pumps around to solve it for now.

If you want to try a gyre style pump, the Jebao crossflows are about $100 they have a better track record so far for durability over maxspec's. I really hate supporting china, but the pumps have really proven themselves much better than the name brands.
