DAILY QUESTION: How do you manage light schedules to prevent algae growth while supporting coral health?
Currently using one SmatFarm 95watt over the 46 gallon bowfront. I have been running sunrise for an hour 9am-10am then mostly Blues and violets with minimal white and red until 9pm. Sunset for an hour and then moonlight for 3 hours. I actually have very little algae growth in that tank. Just a little browning on the rocks.

DAILY QUESTION: How has reef lighting technology evolved since you first started reefing?
Bonus entry nineteen - I am new to reefing but I have heard of t5's and metal halides and how these lights were replaced by more efficient, and in my opinion more natural LED's.

DAILY QUESTION: What’s your strategy for acclimating corals to a new lighting system?
Bonus entry twenty-two: I like to acclimate corals by first placing them in low light and then slowly moving them higher until they reach their desired location

DAILY QUESTION: How do you manage light schedules to prevent algae growth while supporting coral health?
Bonus entry twenty-three: I keep my period of white light relatively short and adjust based upon algae growth that I see

DAILY QUESTION: What experiences have you had with moonlight cycles and their effects on nocturnal reef activity?
Bonus entry twenty-four: I like the idea of a moonlight cycle but my current lights moonlight doesn't look very nice so I don't use it that much. I believe that a moonlight cycle would absolutely increase nocturnal reef activity.
