I use a low level of green and red spectrum to limite the growth of algae while giving enough to the corals.

I never had a moonlight cycle. I did try to build a DIY light to replicated a cycle but it ended being too much work,time and money.

my first encounter with moon lights let alone moon cycles were on my Orbit Power compact in the 90s. Back in those days, on one occurrence the snails would get to the top of the rock and squirt! yuk!!! corals I had at the time released what seem like bubbles in slime. it was mad. I never put much thought about effects of Moonlight cycles. I can only imagine...
