My corals get LED lighting because all my corals first go into my frag tank for months of observation. lighting PAR is usually set 50-250par depending on placement.

If I feel the need I will turn my lights to acclimation mode. But I usually assume they have been under similar lighting and just throw them in.

For me, this question really only applies to newly acquired corals. Luckily I haven't really changed lights mid system. For new corals, put em in the sand, hope they survive and then move em up if all goes well.
