I try to get close to nature as far as lighting schedule and the lighting schedules reefers have used that have come before my time. In the past if I'm getting algae I make sure parameter are in check and may lower intensity of light. Haven't changed the timing of my light schedule ever.DAILY QUESTION: How do you manage light schedules to prevent algae growth while supporting coral health?
I like that they are becoming more and more like a natural light cycle. An innovative feature might be making a panel covering your tank that simulates angles of light in your little reef that are like AM light, mid-day light and PM light.
