DAILY QUESTION: What features of the Natura iCon are you most excited about?
May not seem too technical, but I'm excited about the spread and depth penetration of the light. Orphek has the best LEDs for depth penetration.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you manage light schedules to prevent algae growth while supporting coral health?
I try to get close to nature as far as lighting schedule and the lighting schedules reefers have used that have come before my time. In the past if I'm getting algae I make sure parameter are in check and may lower intensity of light. Haven't changed the timing of my light schedule ever.

DAILY QUESTION: What excites you most about the future of saltwater aquarium lighting? What is one innovative idea you hope will eventually become a reality for reef lighting?
I like that they are becoming more and more like a natural light cycle. An innovative feature might be making a panel covering your tank that simulates angles of light in your little reef that are like AM light, mid-day light and PM light. Not just intensity, but lighting angles as well--could be your sunrise is on the right side of the tank and your lights start more intense over there and increase across the panel during the day and then lessen on the right and intensify on the left at the end of the day cycle.

DAILY QUESTION: What experiences have you had with moonlight cycles and their effects on nocturnal reef activity?
My corals mostly close up on my moonlight cycle. I see other critters come out then. Copepods, Anthropods, and my Emerald crab only comes out at night.

DAILY QUESTION: What are your expectations for coral color enhancement with the Natura iCon’s advanced spectrum?
I expect the colors to be way better than the lights I have now. I'm excited to see my reef under some really nice lights with the advanced spectrum!
