I focos on the blues and white for coral growth and the rest I leave it low to prevent algae growth.

Seems to be working.

Increase intensity if par is low.

When I first got into the hobby, I quickly realized that full-spectrum lighting has a unique beauty—it creates a clean, clear look, especially with that 5K effect! While some might disagree because it highlights unwanted nuisances in the tank, I still appreciate it. Eventually, I switched to "Windex blue" lighting, but I believe both types serve a purpose. As I've learned more about mixed reefs, I've come to appreciate how different lighting setups can enhance the tank's overall appearance and support its diverse needs, making the tank look fuller and more vibrant.

I run T5 which is some what white. I added two Orphek strip bars to add a little blue.

I look at a number of lights that have the functional traits I require, and then ultimately choose the light that has these requirements and also provides the best view of the tank and looks the best perched above the tank.

Never had to, so I do not have one right now. Maybe just start it low and gradually increase power over time.
