How recently was the tank setup?
How new are the fish?
The video won’t play, can you upload it as a YouTube link?
A pH drop like that can be indicative of high co2/low o2, but a low oxygen event would also affect inverts.

Need clear pics under white light. How old is the tank? Did you add any non QT fish recently? What is your salinity?
salinity is 1.025.. i’m afraid it was ich, added the tang about 2.5 weeks ago and i noticed a couple spots of ich, then they went away after a couple of days.. then i come back today and he’s dead. i set up a quarantine tank yesterday ironically so i will have it for the future. tank is 1.5 months old

Ich doesn't kill fish that fast. It's a progressive disease. What size tank? What filtration? Do a water change as soon as possible.

it is a 40 gallon aio, which i know is small for the tang( he was getting moved tmrw)

i did replace the carbon in the tank last night as well as new heaters, but the template stayed the same. i will do a 10g water change as that’s all i have right now.

i also stirred up the sand bed to move food and waste around but ammonia levels stayed same.

Is your sand bed more than 2-1/2 inches deep? Disturbing a deep sand bed can release gases that might have caused your issue. @Randy Holmes-Farley is this statement accurate. I have been away from the hobby for too many years and I do not want to give misleading info. thanks Dan

Image dark and fuzzy and will need clearer under white light intensity and with less zooming in and out.
How are you testing water and any new additions?
Any chemicals/paint etc used by you or neighbor recently?
Any loss of power while you were gone?

Do you have good surface agitation for gas exchange?

I'm focusing on the pH of 7.4 here: either your pH measuring method is off, or you may have some gas exchange issue that is allowing a buildup of carbon dioxide with a likely drop in dissolved oxygen at the same time.

Does the tank have good aeration (not just circulation) and is the top of the tank covered or open to the room?
