In comparison I do agree... Still hope :) only after a couple of days :)

Was due a water change today but after all comosion of catching two idiots I decided to leave until tomorrow... to let other inhabitants calm down ;)
do you think I should leave until next week? give mushroom more chance to revive without messing with water

Water change is just general vac, clean filters etc, parimiters are normal

Today's pictures, so hard to get my camera to focus on this bounce but everything else it will :(
So it appears to me that hole has covered up and appears the outside/skirt looks abit more fuller, I know it's only been a couple of days but it's definitely not deteriorating at this point, I still can not find a mouth using 10 X zoom, this mushroom is like half the size of your little finger nail

Also seen these two guys on my other mushroom (pictures) they look like baby mushrooms, purple skin with slight single orange colour
is this possible with a frag sized mushroom? Especially also close from being fragged (I assume it was)
Thanks

Probably your peppermint, thats where my money is. Peppermints are the epitome of opportunistic feeders. They will eat any coral if they decide to, this also includes nems.
I wish mine would eat my mushrooms. When I first got my tank I thought they were cool. Not so much now.

The tank looks young I d not believe it is the peppermint shrimp the one in my system never bothers my coral although it may crawl upon one or two on occasion.

Yes it is a young aquarium, I introduced this mushroom and it literally got eaten to point of death, I'll attach pictures. Since removing my pepermint it has recovered X 2
Pictures are from July, after first indroducing :( and during time of it being eaten, I will add this was 2nd purchase of same mushroom as 1st disappeared, so I kept a close eye on this one

We definitely established it was the peppermint shrimp, they will eat anything if they decide to, Nothing is off of the menu for a hungry peppermint.

After removal of peppermint shrimp, which has been the obvious culprit 'for me' and help from reef2reef, thank you all
My mushroom is and doing great (pictures)
It's still on original frag plug :) :)

I believe peppermint shrimp need a mature system with more choices of food that exist in the system and possibly your system is to young to support them and the coral become easy picking or maybe mine or yours that was and is no longer is not a true peppermint shrimp.
