I have purchased from this vendor multiple times and have always been very satisfied. Quick communication, great packing on shipments, corals are always healthy and what I expect. This particular time I picked Monday 9/23 as a ship out date but never received a ship notification. Tuesday morning I sent them a message asking for an update. I finally got a call late in the afternoon and was told the Colorado sunburst Nem I ordered suffered a torn foot and they didn’t want to ship me the Nem. I was thankful for the honesty. I was told they would send me pictures of some others i could pick instead, and would ship out Tuesday 9/24 Fast forward to Wednesday I still hadn’t heard anything so I sent them another message first thing in the morning. I received a text late in the day with the substitute options and was told they could ship Thursday 9/25. First picture is the Nem I purchased second picture are the replacement options. I paid $240 on the auction which I feel is an okay deal for the coral but not for the aptasia sized nem in the second picture. Am I crazy or should I tell them to just give me a refund? I feel like the substitute nem is 1/4 the size at best. What would you do in this situation? I opted to hold off and ship Monday 9/30 because of weather.

Not going to name the vendor as I’m not trying to call them out. Like I said they have always been great up till this point.

I understand it’s challenging when something like this happens but nems grow so quickly that I would be fine with the smaller one especially considering that, as you said, you’ve had good experiences with the vendor in the past. Just my personal opinion.
