I know for me, I try to make reef keeping as easy as possible. Keeping my hands out of the tank, basic water changes, and slowly take action when something is going south. I am wondering, what do you try and simplify in your tank? Photo Credit: @jfoahs04

Pretty much the same here! I like to keep water changes as simple as possible. I alternate on my off WC weekends to do my filter cleaning. But I am a big fan of the KISS method (keep it simple stupid)

I moved my water change barrel to the basement and bought a pump that could handle the head pressure. Instead of getting a brute out, hoses, monitoring the brute filling, blah blah blah.

I now have a drain hose that has pvc in the tank that pulls out the same amount everytime. And a hose to fill it back up. All I have to do is turn a couple valves and turn the smart outlet on/off from my phone. Made it super easy, and now I actually do consistent water changes.

I like to keep feeding as simple as possible.

Feeding happens at roughly the same times everyday with the same amount.

Anyone in my house knows what to do and how much. Even my neighbor.

I'm a typical lazy reefer, so I automate as much as possible. I have an auto water change system, and now I'm getting a Plank auto feeder from Avast Marine. :D

That's how I do my feeding. I divide a food cube up into little sauce cups and use that to feed my fish.

I simplify testing. I have two Tridents that test alk, ca, and mg on two tanks. The others I use Hanna checkers because I don’t like deciphering colors of other test kits. I don’t test for trace elements but do adequate, routine water changes (about 160 gallons a month for all tanks). Though it seems like a lot of work to change the water, it is much simpler than sending out icp tests for five tanks and constantly adjusting things.
