hello all, just getting back into the hobby so joining all these late in the game. Been in manufacturing for almost 30 years now. Started out as a tool & die maker and a machinist and progressed thru engineering and finally now I am a software developer with a focus that still remains in manufacturing. I still love my career and I'm excited to get back into the hobby I've always loved, reefing!!

Haha, i like it when i can start with a new system, so i can make it something that also looks good. But i remember a few months back we had to work on a system that was installed and maintained by a third party.. Im afraid your going back to square 1 with your therapy

Oh I've been there ha! 12 years in the biz this July. Started as just a desktop support guy for a local hospital, then went to t1 support for a healthcare software company vendor, then on to implementation of said software, lots of fun times with sql server, and tomcat etc. Then I went on to supervise and manage a team of desktop support analysts for a local hospital after moving cross country. 3 years now back in software t2. Love my job day in and day out.

This reminds me of some last minute network closets in some hospitals I've worked in, behind a ER bathroom or triage room.... Shudder the memories.
