I think I belong on the short bus, keeping a piece of a tropical ocean in my home thousands of miles away from any tropical reef, finding myself thinking about water, thinking about what I can do without to pay for the next upgrade, holding conversations with myself "does the reef look full enough? You don't want to ever doit! Remember you have to have room for them to grow. Ya but I saw that nice colony at the LFS, and it's only 200.00. ya but for 200.00 you can get 4 of those acro frags you always want ". Ect..... Ya I belong on the short bus throwing money out the window instead of tangsI am struggling with the slur that Reefers all ride to school on the Short Bus and throw Achilles tangs out the window on the way.

I got a six line, he has made a difference. I will be taking all of the coral and moving it to a larger tank. I'm lucky in that I have a 90 gallon and 55 full of pest free rock that's between 1 and 2 years old to add to the new system. I'll dip the coral and with the six line and a yellow coris I will be adding should keep the tank clear if the monstersA wrasse will help you a lot
SOO TRUE.. This is one of my biggest peeves. Esp since acros show different colorations on the tip...and that's all you are selling me. But they know that.Knowing where to place my corals to ensure they fill in the empty space in a way that looks good.
My tank is pretty new so I have tons of empty rock. Sometimes I think it would be beneficial if stores showed pictures of a full size coral colony before fragging it into tiny pieces! Makes it harder to visualize.
Such a good point.. setting up a cheap extra petco tank somewhere with a heater and some rock and a powerhead.. add one clown and just let it run .. can save you fish, coral, and maybevyour whole main tank at some point.I got a six line, he has made a difference. Ha.. I'm currently looking to order a electrical ball valve for my co2 scrubber so i dont have to turn an air valve once at night and once in the am. So my ph doesnt go below 8.3. Once you finally get things dialed in and see things thriving.. your brain explodes.. I CAN GROW ANYTHING I WANT!! BAHAHAAA * Mad Scientist laugh.*I think I belong on the short bus, keeping a piece of a tropical ocean in my home thousands of miles away from any tropical reef, finding myself thinking about water, thinking about what I can do without to pay for the next upgrade, holding conversations with myself "does the reef look full enough? Hmm..Staying motivated have struggled with nitrates for awhile now I vodka dose do my water changes and all but still high really wish I started with live rock instead of dry rock now
You have uv? And is the thin brown stuff somewhat translucent? The long thin stainless razor scaper is nice to touch those spots up once a week.Mixed success with being able to keep my tank walls consistently clean with my work schedule. Currently my main irritation is even if I do keep up with quick passes scrubbing my glass there's always some pretty hard thin brown stuff that my scraper takes forever to get off.
Rock is 2 yo tanks been set up since January of this yearHmm..
how old is your tank?
what nutrient export do you use?
How many fish & corals do you have?
.. and what do you feed?
Pics?
