Your first article is from a business that sells bulbs and wants to sell their customers on the company's other products.

The second is addressed in the link I posted.

Yea but there are a few catches here.
1) Most exemptions assume no viable economic and functional equivalent.
This group is shrinking.
2) States like CA exempt some that have a certain high percentage of blue.
Unfortunately it doesn't include like 6500k and possibly 10000k rated bulbs.

Wording of the specific exemption to the ban.
(5) A lamp used for coral zooxanthellae symbiosis from which the

radiation power emitted between 400 and 480 nanometers represents at least

40 percent of the total radiation power emitted between 250 and 800

nanometers.


And the big one..
3) Up to manufacturers if they will produce these bulbs in an ever shrinking market.
doesn't matter if they are legal or not.

I don't disagree, but was trying to refute the blanket "T5s aren't being made anymore" rhetoric.

If those don't work for you, there are plenty more out there. It's the fact I was presenting, not necessarily the article or it's writer.
