Welp made my first mistake like a dummy… The brute trash cans I have the water in I have two of them filled they are around 42 gallo so I went to put salt in one of them this morning 1/2 cup per gallon and I have a 2 cup measuring cup and I put 21 scoops at 2 cups…

Welp with the sand all rinsed I decided tonight would be the night I got it in the tank and set up for final rock work.. welp that’s where the night ended got the rock out and sand In rock back in the tank changed it a little moved everything in the basement close to the entry to start pumping water up to the tank and my old pump only made it like 5 feet off to the fish store in the am to get a pump … i am not and I repeat not lugging buckets that many times up stairs and then lifting over the tank and slowely trickeling it into the tank… not happening

Any water box people can you tell me how high the water will go in the display it looks super low I know it needs more water but I only have room for 120 gallons to be made

So I got everything going and the drain is extremely extremely loud how do I fix it ? Turn the pump up down ?
You might need to dial back the gate valve on the overflow to find the sweet spot - check out this post for some good info.

it takes a while to finetune the flow in/out of the tank.
It is good to play with different pump settings, if you can do that.

Did some testing just to see where we are using api and I know they are not for accuracy just to see the presence of such but
Ammonia is through the roof.
Bacteria will be having a feast!
